KAHHAL LOOMS
Celebrating 100 years of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s treasured tomb at the valley of the kings, upper Egypt, Today presented at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza, Louis and Kahhal Looms revisit Tutankhamun’s emblematic mask with a geometric composition where abstract linear graphics blend with moving swirling curves.
In true kinetic art, where the viewer is stimulated by a chromatic journey of optic illusion, the two colorways are offered here, symbolically celebrate the natural cycle of day and night repeating themselves forever.
A sunny atmosphere punctuated with yellow and soft pink, evoking the radiant daylight of Egypt, while the other version, nocturnal and mysterious in hues o blues and enhanced with touches of ivory and corn reminding us of ancient Egyptian nights.
